How
to Play Online Roulette – Mastering the Game of Roulette
Roulette
has been played since the 17th century where it was invented in
France. A combination of several other European wheel and board
games, roulette has always been fashionable. But it was played
more or less exclusively in casinos and gambling clubs. But now
due to the development of online games, roulette through online
casinos is becoming more popular than ever. This article will
explain how to play online roulette.
What
is Online Roulette?
The
first thing you need to do is learn more about the actual components
of the
roulette wheel. The revolving wheel has alternating
red and black slots. Each slot has a number. In the American version
of roulette they use a double zero wheel and even pairs of number
alternate with odd pairs of number.
The
European wheel has a different number sequence:
0-32-15-19-4-21-2-25-17-34-6-27-13-36-11-30-8-23-10
10-5-24-16-33-1-20-14-31-9-22-18-29-7-28-12-35-3-26
The
single 0 or double 00 have green slots.

Once
the “virtual” croupier (roulette dealer) has asked
you to place your bets the wheel will be set into motion. Betting
in online
roulette is very simple. You can place a bet on either
on a number, a color, odd or even number pairs or any type of
combination you can think of. You drag your chips onto the betting
layout and place them on the number(s) you want to cover.
The
roulette wheel is actually a very secure and sophisticated “random
number generator” program that outputs a sequence
of numbers (0, 00, 1-36) that have no easily discernible pattern.
When the ball lands in a slot, winners are paid in “credits”
to their casino accounts which can be transferred into bankable
funds.
Online
Roulette like any other casino game favors the house, but there
are a few things you should know:
1)
Check out the bonus. Many online casinos offer a nice online roulette
bonus for a new account. Look for the best deal you can find because
a good bonus can decrease the house’s edge considerably.
2)
Go with the European roulette. Most people don’t understand
that the American version of online roulette, with both the 0
and 00, increases the house’s edge greatly in favor of the
casino. Play European
roulette if you can, since with the single 0 house
slot, your odds automatically increase.
3) Check out the roulette
payouts. Make certain that the percentage has been
verified by a third-party. A payout percentage is the proportion
of all money bet by the players that are paid out as winnings.
A payout of say 98% means 98% of the total of all money bet is
paid out to the players.
4) Read what other have to say. Look at online casino review sites,
player forums and articles. Yes, the Internet is a big place but
crooked casinos are quickly discovered by players and the community
they cater to. Do your homework.
